Passivhaus & Low-Carbon Design
Passivhaus (passive house) is a specialist technical standard designed to achieve the best possible energy performance, and hugely reduce the environmental impact of buildings. It is such a strict standard to achieve that there are less than 500 certified professionals in the UK.
Incredibly, passivhaus performance can provide up to 90% improvement in energy-use and heating costs over UK building regulations, as well as offering significant health and wellbeing benefits such as fresh air that filters out particulates & pollution, consistent temperatures all year round, moisture control to eliminate damp and mould issues and acoustic insulation from noise.

Refurbishments & Retrofits
The EnerPHit retrofit and refurbishment standard builds on Passivhaus, extending its principles to renovations also. Many existing buildings need upgrades for better energy efficiency. EnerPHit offers a clear plan to turn these structures into eco-friendly, high-performance spaces, similar to new Passivhaus buildings. It's a great choice for older buildings that want to cut energy bills and be greener without starting from scratch.
